 The author presents his version of the true story of SILV and introduces the real case Doyle may have consulted. Also a study on Isonomy and Silver Blaze, about his characteristics and his model.
競馬ミステリー白銀号事件に関する研究。これまで提起された様々な考えを検証。異なる視点から、事件を起こした犯人たちの別の企みの可能性を挙げている。また、銀星号と実在したアイソノミー号との詳しい比較による考証により、競走馬の実態に迫っている。

 A Study about the Isonomy’s descendants in Japan from the tail-female line. The descendants of Sterling, Isonomy’s father, are also introduced.
 銀星号事件に名前だけ登場するアイソノミー号の研究。この馬の血統が日本に輸入され、日本競馬に与えた影響について検証。輸入された複数の馬の詳しい生い立ちや、小岩井農場の役割と、日本のサラブレッドの名馬について個別に詳しく考察している。

An essay on Kappa, folkloric creature in Japan and the Cottingley Fairies incident. The author also shows the photos taken with ENSIGN box-type camera which is the same model used in the movie “Fairy Tale”.
 河童とフェアリーとの比較研究。更に、コナン・ドイルがまんまと騙されたコティングリー事件の顛末について、使用されたカメラについての研究。同型のカメラを吉田氏が所有しており、そのカメラを使った写真が紹介されている。

ワトスンの髭についての研究。生やし始めた時期、動機、などを正典の記述、挿絵などから考察。ワトスンの人物像の設定に、重要な要素としての効果を論証。加えて、ホームズには髭を生やした記述等が無い理由も考察されている。

 The author explains the technology of modern digital communications, comparing it with the techniques used for the cipher in REDC.
正典の赤い輪に出てくる暗号通信の記述を、現代のパソコンの用語に置き換えた研究。著者の専門知識を用いて、難解なパソコン用語による、赤い輪に記述されているやりとりを検証し、考察を行っている。

 Endo,Takahiko. “Sherlock Holmes and Shimane Prefecture” 遠藤尚彦「シャーロック・ホームズと島根県」  WH, 27(2004), 94-107.
 The summary of the presentation at JSHC convention in 2001. Playing around the numbers related to the convention, the author deduces the venue (Matsue) of the convention was predicted in the Canon and the most suitable story for Matsue is SIGN.
JSHCが2001年島根県松江市で開いた大会が、正典の暗号から予言？を考察。大会に関わる数字、事件名のアルファベット、地名等を分析し、導かれた偶然について検証。同手法により、島根に相応しい正典は四つの署名。島根県出身のSHに関連深い人の紹介。

 Shimizu, Takeshi “’Hound’ and ‘Cyclist’” 清水健「犬と自転車乗り」   WH, 27(2004), 108-110.
The author discusses the difficulty of translating every nuance of the original English text, showing how ‘the Solitary Cyclist” and the word hound are translated into Japanese, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
 正典を各国語に翻訳する時、英語原書のニュアンスを伝える事の難しさの研究。具体的に（自転車乗り）と（犬）の二つを挙げて、各言語の特徴による、英語とは異なる意味を考慮し、意味が正確に伝わるよう細心の注意が必要である事を論証している。

 Watanabe, Mineki. “The Right or the Left” 渡辺峯樹「右と左の問題」   WH, 27(2004), 111-125.
The author counted the number of the words “right” and “left” that appeared in the Canon, and examines the characteristics of right-hand vs. left-hand for personnel, and traffics.
 正典の記述に出てくる、（右）（左）の言葉に焦点を絞った研究。全ての物語内から抽出した詳細な表と、幾つかの具体的な記述を用いて検証。右利き、左利きなどの特徴などに加えて、各国の歴史的背景や事情などから、通行区分の違いや、変遷までも考察している。

 ホームズ物語に於ける指紋についての研究。当時の捜査法が、骨格測定法から指紋重視に変更される時代の流れの研究と、ホームズの指紋に対する考えや態度が、推理小説の発展に寄与した事について考察。

 ホームズ研究論文の分類法について。ホームズの世界、シャーロック・ホームズ紀要の2誌にこれまで掲載された論文を、独自の分析によってワトスンの執筆動機や、物語の題名などを使い9つに分類している。

正典の登場人物による、ショスコム荘についてのディスカッション。JSHC会員が扮した、正典内に登場する人物による架空の討論会。会員各自の知識に基づく詳しく、時に際どい話などが、会話として記録されている。
